Joseph G. Iannessa 94,
Of Hyde Park, died Friday at the Armenian Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Boston.
Born in Dedham, Massachusetts he has been a long time resident of Hyde Park.
Joe was a retired engineer for the City of Boston Public Facilities Division. Joe served during World War II with the United States Army as a Staff Sargeant.
He was the son of the late Pasquale & Mary ( Luido ) Iannessa and the husband of the late Yolanda F. ( Gatto ) Iannessa. He was the devoted father of Leonard F. Iannessa of Hyde Park, Janet Provost & her husband William of Scituate, Loving grandfather Keith Provost of New York, Brother of Joan Murphy of Somerville and the late Frank, Robert & Richard Iannessa. Also survived by several Nieces & Nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday morning, February 10th at Saint Pius X Church, 101 Wolcott Road, Milton at 10:00 a.m. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be at the Laughlin, Nichols and Pennacchio Funeral Home, 34 Oak Street,
( Corner of Maple Street ) Hyde Park on Thursday 4- 8 p.m. Parking attendants on duty. Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Ma. At 1:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Joe’s Memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, Ma. 01701. In addition the family respectfully requests no flowers to observe the Cemetery Regulations.
