William Lyttle Jr. Obituary

William G. Lyttle Jr. died November 12, 2010 in the Jordan hospital in Plymouth following a brief illness. He was 89. Bill was born in 1921 and grew up in Sharon . He was a proud veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. After high school he attended Boston University but left after his first year to serve his country during the war. Before leaving for Africa he married his sweetheart Caroline Sawyer of Canton . After the war Bill began his long career as an accountant and later retired from the Foxboro Company. He then moved to Florida and enjoyed tennis and golf. While living in Florida Bill worked at the Space Center Camps at Cape Canaveral . He was considered a family celebrity because he was featured on a highway billboard advertisement for the Space Center . He later moved back to Massachusetts where he has lived for the past several years. Beloved husband of the late Caroline (Sawyer). Loving father of Robert W. Lyttle and his wife Jeanne of Fla., William G Lyttle III and his wife Janice of Easton, and Bradford M. Lyttle and his wife Christine of Pembroke. Brother of the late Robert Lyttle. Proud grandfather of Justin, Robert, and Caroline. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be private.
