Walter Wedge Obituary

Walter T. "Ted" Wedge of S. Easton and Ormond Beach Fl., formerly of Canton, died November 9, 2011 after a brief illness. He was 76. Ted was a retired MDC Police Captain who proudly served for many years. He was also a proud veteran serving as a boiler tender 1st class in the U.S. Navy. Ted enjoyed singing in a barbershop quartette, was a former Commander of the AMVETS in Stoughton, and a proud Mason serving the Blue Hill Lodge in Canton where he was a past Master. Devoted husband of Elinor (Jennison). Loving father of David C. Wedge and his wife Catherine of Brockton, Robert "Scott" Wedge and his wife Paula of Stoughton, Julie A. Wedge and her fiancé Alan Boncorddo of S. Easton, and Amy E. Wedge and her fiancé Alan Costello of Saugus. Loving brother of Alice E. Wedge of Canton and the late William T. Wedge. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St.Canton Wednesday November 16, 2011 from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home Thursday at 10 AM. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park.
