Vincent Paul Smedile, of Canton, died peacefully surrounded by his family, October 21, 2025. He was 87 years old. Vincent proudly grew up in Mission Hill and was a veteran serving in the United States Army Reserves. He worked as a self-employed distributor for wholesale foods. Beloved son of the late Frank and Rachel Smedile. Devoted husband of the late Eileen Smedile (O’Keeffe). Proud father of Erin M. Gleason and his son-in-law Stephen M. Gleason of Canton, and Michael D. Smedile and his wife Janine of Walpole. Brother of Claire Sullivan of Easton, Robert Smedile of Berkley, and the late Francis “Chickie” Smedile, Mary Blaney, and Paul Smedile. Proud grandfather of Caitlin Gleason of Quincy and Sean Gleason of Canton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and by his beloved dog Finn. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St., Canton, Sunday, October 26th from 4-6 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral Monday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Interment 12 noon in Canton Corner Cemetery.
