Theresa E. "Terry" (Delahanty) Gardner

Theresa E. "Terry" Gardner (Delahanty), 73, of Readville passed away peacefully Friday, October 21^st, 2022, at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston while her husband Harry sat at her bedside holding her hand. 

Theresa was born in Staten Island, NY and moved to Boston as a little girl. Terry was a graduate of South Boston High School. Terry worked in the mortgage department of Baybank, Fleet bank and later Citizens bank. Her dream job was being the payroll supervisor for the Pastoral Center of the Archdiocese of Boston in Braintree. Terry was a devout Catholic and had the utmost faith in God. Terry loved to cook, clean, go to Mass, and entertain.  She loved to go for long rides with her husband while looking for the perfect piece of furniture for her beautiful home and finding a new restaurant to tell her friends about.  Nothing made her happier than cooking for her son Michael and his friends. Her biggest joy of all was taking care of her three grandchildren, Michael, Max and Samantha.

Aside from her devoted husband Harry, Theresa is survived by her beloved son Michael Martin "Wes" Gardner and his wife Donna of Canton.  She is also survived by her 3 cherished grandchildren Michael, Max and Samantha.  Terry was also survived by her dear friend Mary Pagano, her cousins, and many, many close friends.  Terry was predeceased by her parents Martin & Rosemary Delahanty and many aunts and uncles.

Visiting hours from the Pushard Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Canton, Thursday from 4-7PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Annes Church, 90 W. Milton St., Readville Friday at 10:30AM followed by interment at Canton Corner Cemetery, Canton. Donations in Terry's name may be made to PKD Foundation, P.O. Box 871847, Kansas City, MO 64187.
