Shirley Mae (Smith) Richards

Shirley M. Richards (Smith) of Mansfield, formerly of Canton, died peacefully January 3, 2025. She was 100 years old. Shirley was a longtime employee of Shaws in Canton for almost 30 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Foxboro Bowling League, and the Grocery Workers Union. She enjoyed knitting and reading. Shirley was the devoted wife of the late Delbert Richards. Loving mother of Kenneth Richards of Holbrook, Keith Richards and his wife Alexandra of Prague, Susan Richards of Weymouth, Sandra Richards of N. Attleboro, Karen Stratton and her husband Norman of Littleton, and the late Diane Richards. Sister of the late Doris Hickey, Phyllis Foster, Marjorie Hapnie, and Sylvia Darling. Proud grandmother of Barry Richards, Tamara Richards, Faye Richards, Tessa Richards, Emily Henderson, and Katherine Stratton. Proud great-grandmother of Allie Richards and Jay Richards. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Canton on Thursday, January 9th from 4-7 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 10th at 10am at Pushard Family Funeral Home followed by burial at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
