Shirley B. Barbaglia

Shirley B. Barbaglia (Parish), 91, a lifelong resident of Canton, passed away January 11th at Norwood Hospital, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife for seventy years of the late Robert J. Barbaglia, loving and devoted mother of Cheryl Barbaglia DeMarre and her husband James of Lexington, South Carolina, and proud grandmother of Patrick and Robert. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Diane Lamplough of Stoughton, many nieces and nephews, and many grand nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Canton, Shirley graduated from Canton High School in 1944. Mrs. Barbaglia worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for more than thirty years for Ideal Instrument Co. of Canton. A former member of the Sons of Italy St. Catherine of Siena Lodge of Canton, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Canton Community Club, Shirley enjoyed a full life with her family and many friends, and was happiest when taking part in the lives of her adored grandsons. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Canton Tuesday, January 15 from 4-7 Pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church 1 Blue Hill River Road, Canton. Interment will be private.
