Richard Doherty Obituary

Richard S. Doherty a self-employed entrepreneur and restaurant owner died peacefully June 28, 2016 after a brief illness. He was 67 years old. Rick was a proud and decorated veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam, recipient of the Bronze Star. He owned Rick's cafe in Randolph for 20 years. Loving father of Rosemary D. Byrne and her husband T.J. MSP of Hingham, and Richard B. Doherty and his wife Stacy of Canton. Brother of Mary Petras of Bridgewater, Gerald Doherty of Foxboro, and John Doherty of Northboro. Former husband of the late Grace Baldwin Doherty. Proud grandfather of Riley and Grace Byrne. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Canton Friday, July 1 from 2-6 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral services will be private. Interment Bourne National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN
