Philip D. Sullivan, of Canton, died peacefully at home following a brief illness on May 6, 2021. He was 83 years old. Philip was a retired Canton Fire Department Lieutenant and a proud veteran of the Army National Guard. He was a devoted Catholic and parishioner of St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Philip enjoyed spending his time in Sanibel Island Fl. and was an avid walker, biker, and marathon runner. He also enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Loving son of the late Philip and Virginia Sullivan. Devoted companion of over 45 years to Geraldine Medici of Canton. Loving brother of Virginia S. Mooney and her husband John of Canton. Proud uncle of Paul Mooney of Canton, Mark Mooney of Mattapoisett, James Mooney of Stoughton, and Joan Mooney-Pagel of Canton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday May 11th at 11 AM in St. Gerard Majella Church 1860 Washington St., Canton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend following COVID-19 protocols. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph.
