Pauline G. Valday

Pauline G. Valday ( Hill) a lifelong resident of Canton died February 5, 2011 following a long illness. She was 86. Before retiring Pauline worked as a telephone operator for 29 years for New England Telephone. She worked for 20 years in Canton, and 9 years in the Brockton office. Former wife of the late David Valday. Loving mother of David E. Valday and his former wife Susan of Quincy, Mark R. Valday and his wife Cheryl of Canton, Paula M. Budlong and her husband Ray of Salem, N.H., and Linda A. Knell and her husband Ron of Dedham. Sister of Elaine Walsh of Canton and the late Marie Layman. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM at the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 10:30 AM February 10, 2011 in St. John the Evangelist Church 700 Washington St. Canton. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Canton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pauline's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
