Mary E (Moore) Geoghegan, of Canton, died Saturday, July 29th 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton after brief illness. She was 85 years old. Born in the family homestead on Mechanic Street in Canton to the late Frank J. and Mary E. (Doody) Moore, she had been a lifelong resident attending St. John’s schools she graduated from Canton High School. Mrs. Geoghegan had been employed in the administrative, benefits and human resources offices of Bird and Son Roofing and Hill’s Department Stores. She was an avid candlepin bowler and enjoyed baking. Mrs. Geoghegan was predeceased by her husband, Thomas P. Geoghegan, her son David Geoghegan, her siblings William, Roger, Charlie Moore and Frances “Bubba” Clines and her son in law Ray McIntosh. She is survived by her daughter Teresa McIntosh and her son Thomas Geoghegan and his wife Patti both of Stoughton and her granddaughter Mary Pat Geoghegan. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Mary’s life at Saint Oscar Romero Church (formerly St. John’s), 700 Washington Street, Canton on Thursday at 10AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Canton. Mary’s family will welcome visitors on Wednesday from 4-7PM at the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, Canton.
