Loretta J. (Russell) Berardi

Loretta J. Berardi (Russell) died peacefully surrounded by her family June 13, 2023. Loretta enjoyed reading, spending time at the beach, attending Sunday services, and most of all spending time with her family. After graduating from Canton High in 1951, she attended Chamberlayne Jr. College and worked at Mass General Hospital as a secretary in the pathology department. After raising her family, she worked at Emerson Swan for 22 years. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Elsie Russell. Devoted wife of the late Richard P. Berardi Sr. Loving mother of Cheryl A. Murphy and her husband Paul of Canton, Linda M. Tucker of Canton, Richard P. Berardi Jr. and his wife Carol of Raynham, Joanne Keach and her husband Robert of Easton, Russell P. Berardi and his wife Kathryn of Easton, and Michelle L. Turkoglu and her husband Meric of Casper, WY. Sister of the late Walter, William, Lawrence, and Alexander Russell and the late Caroline Bougas. Dear friend of the late Patricia Uliano. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday June 17th in the Congregational Church 1541 Washington St., Canton at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the service and a gathering to follow. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loretta’s memory to Congregational Church of Canton.
