Kalliope "Kallie" Rempelakis

Kalliope “Kallie” Rempelakis, of Canton, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025. She was 97 years old. Born in Boston, she attended Girls Latin School and enrolled at Burdett College where she was the top of her class and earned a degree as an Executive Secretary. In 1947 she was employed by Mr. A.H. Davis at the F.W. Faxon Company in Boston. She supervised a large department and staff and performed all managerial duties for Mr. Davis. She retired early to care for her ailing mother. Kallie was a volunteer at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton. She was an active parishioner at St. Gregory the Theologian Orthodox Church in Mansfield, participating in many charities. She was active at the Canton Senior Center. She loved doing crosswords, composing poems and cooking Greek dishes. She made many trips to family in Crete and kept in touch weekly by phone. In 2020 Nancy Sarnowitz, Kallie’s former dental hygienist, began to help her in all aspects of daily life. As she aged, she became her health care agent and dear friend. Nancy made sure to the end that all her wishes came true. Kallie was the daughter of the late John and Mary Rempelakis. Sister of the late Emmanuel and Stathis Rempelakis. Loving aunt to John Rempelakis and his wife Lynne of Haverhill, Amy Davis and her husband Scott of Westborough, Julia Abruzzese and her husband John of Littleton, and Peter Rempelakis and his wife Merle of Roslindale. Godmother to Donna Ivey of Attleboro. She is also survived by many grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and dear friends from the community. Funeral from the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St., Canton Thursday, December 11 from 10- 11 AM. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park.
