Joseph DePalma Jr., a lifelong resident of Canton died peacefully on January 21, 2026. He was 90 years old. Joe was a proud veteran serving in the United States Army. He worked hard at the family business, DePalma Greenhouse and Nursery. He was also a self-employed contractor for many years. After retirement he worked at Home Depot and was a valued employee for over 20 years. Joseph was an avid gardener and sommelier (wine maker). He also enjoyed repairing and building things for his family. He was a member of both the Knights of Columbus Council #2094 and the Sons of Italy in Canton. Son of the late Guiseppe and Rose DePalma. Devoted husband of Shirley M. DePalma (Jacques). Loving father of Joseph DePalma III and his wife Jacqueline of Littleton, NH, Lisa A. Fenton and her husband Jeffrey of Tewksbury, NJ., Christopher L. DePalma and his wife Elizabeth of Southbury, CT, and Gina M. DePalma of Canton. Brother of the late Antonio, Bruno, and Carlo DePalma. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Wednesday, January 28th from 11-12 followed by a prayer service. Interment at Canton Corner Cemetery.
