Joseph Cavallaro Obituary

Joseph P. Cavallaro of E. Falmouth, formerly of Canton, died November 12, 2009. After a long illness. He was 73. Joseph graduated from Colt Memorial High School in Bristol, R.I. where he was All State in football, baseball, and basketball and was inducted into their Hall of Fame. He was a proud Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and worked many years as a retail manager for a department store until retiring several years ago. He was a past member of the Canton Sons of Italy and previously coached for the Canton Football Association. Devoted husband of Constance I. (DeCristoforo). Loving father of Lisa Brody and her husband Stephen of Mansfield and Christopher Cavallaro of E. Falmouth. Brother of Marie Medeiros of Swansea, Dorothy Almeida and Eleanor Beskid both of Bristol,R.I., Beatrice Almeida of Warren, R.I., and the late Lucy Benevides. He is also survived by a grand-daughter, Rachel Brody, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton Sunday 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church Washington St. Canton, Monday at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
