John R. O'Neill

John R. O’Neill, a lifelong resident of Canton, died peacefully at home February 12, 2023. He was 58 years old. John was a friend to all. He graduated from Bridgewater State University and had a successful career working for Reebok, Rockport Shoes, and Hills Department Store.  He also enjoyed working a second job on weekends at Cassie's Store (Little White) in Canton.  He was the son of the late Richard and Alice O’Neill. Devoted husband of the late Margaret A. O’Neill (Sullivan). Brother of Francis O’Neill and his wife, the late Carol O’Neill of Canton; Elizabeth O’Neill and her husband Detlef Westphalen of Roslindale; Kathleen O’Neill and her husband George O’Connell of Brattleboro, VT;  Deirdre O’Neill and her wife Nnena Odim of Roslindale; and the late Patricia O’Neill. John is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. Memorial donations can be made to the volunteer transportation organization, FISH of Canton, P.O. Box 69, Canton, MA 02021 or to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America. Funeral services were private.
