John McDonough Obituary

John R. McDonough died peacefully July 2, 2011 in the Soldier's Home in Chelsea following a long illness. He was 93. John was a retired truck driver Local Union #25 in Boston for many years. He was a proud veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army. Devoted husband of the late Anne A. McDonough (Kelly). Loving father of John R. McDonough Jr. of Mashpee, Marie M. Bennett and her husband Bernard of Topsfield, Robert P. McDonough and his wife Cynthia of Scituate, R.I., and Kathryn L. Ellis and her husband Steven of Arlington, VA. Brother of the late Fred McDonough . Grandfather of the late Michael McDonough. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. Arrangements by the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton. The family would like to thank the staff of the Soldier's Home in Chelsea for the excellent care given to John. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in John's memory to the Soldier's Home/Quigley Memorial Hospital 91 Crest Ave, Chelsea MA 02150.
