John F. Carroll

John F. Carroll Jr., a lifelong resident of Canton, died peacefully August 14, 2014. He was 89 years old. Born in Canton, John attended Canton Elementary Schools and graduated from Mission Church High School in Roxbury. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II and Korea. John was a member of the American Legion Post # 24 in Canton. He worked for AT & T for over 30 years and after retirement started his own telephone service business " Jack's Contracting " in Canton. Devoted husband of the late Rose M. (Fahey). Loving father of John Carroll and his late wife Andrea of WI, Robert Carroll and his wife Kathleen of Canton, Thomas Carroll and his wife Roberta of Brockton, William Carroll of Canton, and James Carroll and his wife Sue of W.V. Brother of the late Eleanor James, Mary Ronan, Sister Caroline Carroll, Elizabeth Cash. Proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday August 18, 2014 in St. John the Evangelist Church Washington St. Canton at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton Sunday from 2-6 PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Canton.
