Harold Putnam Hanna Jr., of Canton, died August 15, 2024. He was 80 years old. Harold graduated high school at the age of sixteen and went on to earn his MBA at Babson College. Harold was a veteran of the Army National Guard prior to working as an accountant at Hanscom Air Force Base and was the Town of Canton Treasurer for several years. He also worked as the Auditor for the City of Brockton and the Director of the Brockton Retirement Board. During his retirement, he worked at Target in Stoughton. He enjoyed music and was the youngest Bandmaster during high school at the Boston Farm and Trade School/Thompson Academy on Thompson Island. He played the clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, piano, and oboe throughout his life. He was the devoted husband of Marie E. Hanna (Lyons) of Canton for over 55 years. Loving father of Mark S. Hanna and his wife, Lauren of Holly Springs, N.C. Proud grandfather of Alyssa Hanna. Brother of Edward Hanna of Reading, PA, the late William Fuller of Walla Walla, WA and Barry Fuller of Pepperell, MA. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Canton Thursday, August 22, from 4-7 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association.
