Geraldine "Gerry" (Powers) Bennett

Geraldine (Gerry) Bennett, born April 10, 1935, died peacefully at 9 AM on Friday, March 24, 2023, just ~ 2 weeks before her 88th birthday. Gerry had been trying to get stronger while fighting Lung Cancer and other health complications at the Sante Healthcare Rehab facility in Scottsdale, AZ. Gerry has been living for the past 2 years at Tuscany at McCormick Ranch, independent living, in Scottsdale, AZ after living from birth in the general Boston, MA vicinity. Gerry is survived by daughter Diane Stone and son-in Law Ken Stone from Scottsdale, AZ, stepdaughter Sharon Shuman (and husband Lou Shuman) of Slidell, LA, granddaughter Brooke Cohan (and husband Adam Cohan) of White Plains, NY, grandson Harrison Stone of Scottsdale, AZ and great granddaughter Gabrielle Cohan and great grandson Ari Cohan, both of White Plains, NY. Gerry is also survived by her brothers: Richard Powers of Quincy, MA, Thomas Whalen (and wife Jean Whalen) of Braintree, MA, sister Maureen Williams of Southern, MA, deceased brothers: Robert Whalen of Holbrook, MA and Edward Whalen Jr. (and deceased wife Antoinette Whalen) of Hingham, MA. Gerry was a caring, thoughtful and wonderful lady who will be missed by all. A Private Funeral is being planned in the Sharon, MA area. Donations to the Lung Cancer Association are welcomed.
