George Joseph Hart Jr.

George Joseph Hart Jr., of Middleboro, formerly of Canton, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family, July 23, 2023. He was 74 years old. George was born in Norwood and was a graduate of Canton High School, class of 68. He proudly served in the Army National Guard from 1969-1975. He worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for over 50 years. He enjoyed camping in Salisbury for over 20 years, antique trucks, reading, and his Harley Davidson. George was a family man who enjoyed his privacy.  Son of the late George J. Hart Sr. and Margaret Hart (Toomey). Devoted husband for over 54 years to Paula M. Hart (Pesaturo). Loving father of Edward J. Hart and his wife Marilyn of Middleboro, Scott C. Hart, and his wife Sandy of Canton, and the late Cheryl A. Hart.  Brother of Nancy Ryan of Scituate, Margaret Hart of Cohasset, Deborah Jacobs of Easton, and the late Linda Wadman, and Karen Robinson. Proud grandfather of Edward of Middleboro, Sean of Middleboro, Nicole of Middleboro, Jessica of Canton, Matthew of Canton, and Ryan of Canton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman ST., Canton, Friday, July 28th  from 4-7 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral from the Funeral home Saturday at 10 am. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery at 11 AM.
