George F. Costello, III of Attleboro, formerly of East Falmouth and Canton passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023 at the age of 60 after a long battle with Early Onset Alzheimer’s. He was an avid runner and fisherman, a member of the Mass Striped Bass Association, Trout Unlimited, Falmouth Fisherman’s Association, and was a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #2095 of Canton. George enjoyed golfing and was a Boston Sports Fan. He graduated from Canton High School Class of 1981 and Northeastern University cum laude going on to specialize in the environmental field. He is the son of Patricia T. Costello (McLaughlin) and the late George F. Costello, Jr., of Attleboro, formerly East Falmouth. Brother of Diane DiGiantommaso and her husband Tony of North Attleboro, Judy Nelson of North Attleboro, Gerard Costello and his wife Nancy of Ballston Lake, NY, Stephen Costello and his wife Jennifer of North Attleboro and the late Patti Papagno. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, as well as grand nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, Canton, MA from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7th. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be held in the St. Oscar Romero Catholic Church located at 700 Washington Street, Canton on Monday May 8th at 10:00 a.m. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
