Frederick Vincent “Buddy” Jennings Jr. died peacefully surrounded by his family, March 20, 2023. He was 80 years old. Buddy was a member of Local Union 589 for the MBTA and the John P. McKean Legion Post #146 in Dorchester for many years. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and was a proud American. He was a member of the Old Colony Yacht Club and was an avid lover of boating. He was happiest on the water with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Judith A. Jennings (Furber). Loving father of Kim A. Russell and her husband John of Canton, Thomas M. Jennings and his wife Elizabeth of Taunton, Kathleen McGinnis and her husband Joseph of Franklin, Carolyn M. Mallahan and her husband Mark of Laconia, NH, Frederick V. Jennings III and his wife Debra of Easton, and Christine M. Carpenter and her partner Dave Allain of W. Roxbury. He is survived by two sisters, Carol Mullen of Rockland and Susan Burke of Hingham. Buddy loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and labradoodle Lola, who could always be found at his feet. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Canton, Sunday, March 24, from 3-6 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Services will be held at Pushard Funeral Home on Monday time to be announced, followed by interment in Canton Corner Cemetery.
