Florence N. Ramonas

Florence N. Ramonas (Quaglia) of Canton passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood at the age of 97. Born and raised in Norwood, she lived in Dorchester in her youth and, for the past 50 years, resided in Canton. Mrs. Ramonas worked as a seamstress and as a quality control inspector for Girl Town clothing for many years prior to retirement. She enjoyed opera, singing, and, most of all, loved animals. Beloved wife of the late Bruno J. Ramonas. Loving mother of Florence E. Ramonas of Canton and Lori Ramonas of West Richland, WA. Sister of the late Rose Coates. Proud grandmother of Christopher Leber of Newport Beach, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, December 12, 2011, in St. Gerard Majella Church, Washington Street, Canton. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Animal Rescue League of Boston.
