Clare Burgun Obituary

Of Canton, Died October 24, 2013 at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton after a lengthy illness. Born, raised and educated in Norwood she has been a Canton resident since 1948. She was the daughter of the late William and Rose (King) Harrington. Graduating from the Simmons College MGH Nursing Program she was Degree RN working as an Operating Room Supervisor at the Shattuck Hospital in Boston for over 30 years. A proud and accomplished artist, she was an accepted member of the Copley Society and a member of the Canton Art Association. Mrs. Burgun was a devout communicant of Saint John's Parish. A caregiver to many of her friends and neighbors, she enjoyed time at the home in Turner, Maine. Beloved wife of the late James A. Burgun and John F. Roach. Loving mother of Clare Lund and her husband, Philip of Foxboro, Therese Johnson and her husband, David of ME, Audry Busa of Canton and the late John P. Roach. Dear sister of Francis Harrington of Brewster and the late John Harrington, Dr. William Harrington and Therese Dion. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in Celebration of Clare's Life at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, CANTON, with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint John the Evangelist Church, Canton, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Canton. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home Monday 4-8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
