Cathleen (Galvin) Nolen,

Of Norton, died Friday, June 16th 2023 at Cornerstone at Canton after lengthy illness. She was 82.

The daughter of the late George J. and Catherine (Dromey) Galvin she was born, raised and educated in Sharon.  Mrs. Nolen graduated from Chandler Business School. 

She resided in Canton for over 40 years prior to moving to Norton.

Mrs. Nolen had worked in the business office of Arthur C. Lamb Rigging Co. in Canton for more than 20 years.   

A member of the Sharon Historical Society, she was a member of the Sharon High School Reunion Committee for the Class of 1959.  She enjoyed being active, a tennis player, she cared for her physical fitness, was an avid reader and volunteered at the Norton Library and Senior Center. 

Mrs. Nolen loved being social, attending events and spending time with her friends and family 

Mrs. Nolen was predeceased by her husband, Peter C. Nolen and her brother Jim Galvin.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer A. Reny and her husband, Michael of Kirkland, QB and Kristine M. Russo and her husband, Tom of Chester, NH, her son  Peter S. Nolen and his wife, Kerry of St. John, FL. and her brother Mike Galvin and his wife Ginny of Sharon and the late Jim Galvin. 

She is also survived by her 8 cherished grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Cathleen’s life at Saint Mary Church, One Power St. Norton on Friday at 11AM. Interment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Cathleen’s family will welcome visitors on Thursday from 5-7PM at the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St., Canton.
