Byron Knowles O’Donnell of Canton died peacefully January 2, 2022. He was 87 years old. Byron was born, raised, and educated in Medfield. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army in a Medical Unit. He attended Dean College and worked for Finest Grocery Supermarkets and Christy’s Markets and later Ocean State Job Lot after retirement. He enjoyed gardening, yardwork, and being outdoors. He enjoyed day trips with his late wife Florence and walking his dog at Pequitside Farm. Son of the late Francis and Elizabeth O’Donnell (Knowles). Devoted husband of the late Florence R O’Donnell (Cleary). Father of Byron K. O’Donnell and his wife Donna of Thornton, N.H., Kevin F. O’Donnell and his wife Doreen of Avon, and the late Robert M. O’Donnell. Brother of the late William O’Donnell. Proud grandfather of Colleen Schoenbrun, Byron K. O’Donnell III, Patrick, Kevin Jr., Sean, Thomas, Michael, and Robert O’Donnell. Proud great-grandfather of Rose Schoenbrun. Visitation in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Canton, Thursday from 830-930 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Oscar Romero Catholic Church 700 Washington St., Canton at 10 AM. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park.
