Beulah M. Cash of Canton, formerly of Dedham and Dorchester, died peacefully at home September 18, 2024. She was 81 years old. Beulah worked as a nurse, a public-school librarian in Dorchester, a foster parent, a school bus monitor and ran her own child day care. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bingo, playing cards and eating sweets. Devoted wife of the late Carl R. Cash. Loving mother of Stacey Peeples-Akbar and her husband Emanuel of Canton, and Jeffrey Peeples of Dorchester. Loving sister to the late James, Alfonso, and Earnest Peeples, Raymond Merritt, Minnie Anderson, Josephine and Mae-Willie Peeples, Hattie-Mae Williams and Carolyn Peeples. Proud grandmother of Tiffany Creech. Proud great-grandmother of Amaiah Rosado, Nehemiah Mompremier, and Syera Sol. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
“Beulah was a lady of character and understanding. She had her own personality that she didn't want to bother or burden anyone, and she had no complaints except she didn't like Meals on Wheels. She was a very strong woman until her end of her days when the pain was unbearable for her. She then she asked God to please help her, and she asked me not to bother her. She quietly slipped away from us in her sleep the way she wanted to. Now she's reunited with all her siblings and her husband. My mom wanted to be home with her family watching her TV shows Andy Griffin, Everybody Hates Chris and Gomer Pyle. She loved eating her candy and popping chewing gum all day long as much as I allowed her to. She loved Halloween because she knows candy was involved she loved her cups of coffee. I moved her in with me to be close to her and it was the best thing I ever did. I love you mom.”
