Part of a large family, she was predeceased by 7 siblings. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Lucas A. Taddeo, Sr. and Concetta (Giacci) Taddeo.  Antoinette was raised in the Nonantum neighborhood or as it’s affectionately called “The Lake” and attended Newton schools.  As a young woman she went to work at Raytheon helping to take care of her mother and siblings, often buying them clothes and gifts. While on a vacation on Cape Cod, she met her future husband Renzo.  They would be married in 1955, moving to Canton to start her married life and raise a family.   She and her late husband operated Piana’s Flower Shop for fifty years, it was a true family business. While working at the flower shop she still took care of 6 kids, always had 3 meals on the table and clean clothes to wear, especially undershirts. Antoinette’s greatest joy was her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved taking her mother and family to Newport, spending the day at Breton Point, bringing her famous peppers and eggs.  She especially enjoyed the holidays spent with family, always having too much food and plenty of love and laughter.  You could hear her laugh a mile away and see her smile even farther away.  An incredible cook, she enjoyed showing her children and grandchildren how to make her meatballs, Italian cookies and other family favorites including her Pineapple Cream pie.  Antoinette was a woman of strong faith and a devout Catholic.  She bowled, golfed and loved watching Patriots games where her kids would get overly excited and make her laugh, even though she did not understand football.  After the passing of her husband Antoinette went on to work at the former Norwood Hospital.  Generous with both her time and treasure she developed many lifelong friendships. Her generous spirit. laughter and grace will be missed by all those who loved and knew Antoinette.  Her legacy is carried on by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Old Colony Hospice for the care and support provided to Antoinette and her family.
