Annette (Macaluso) Griffin, age 95 of Brockton, formerly of Randolph, Sandwich, and Abington, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 74 years, Richard (Dick) Griffin, who passed away on April 13, 2020. Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Josephine Macaluso. She leaves behind daughters Barbara Charron of West Bridgewater and Karen Eardley and husband Edward of Canton. She is also survived by grandchildren Paul Charron and wife Courtney of East Bridgewater, Pamela Shaughnessy and husband Ryan of Canton, Gregory Eardley of South Boston, Michael Charron of West Bridgewater, and her great-grandchildren that she adored, Joseph and Tyler Shaughnessy. She was the sister of Mary Sgro of Medford and Robert Macaluso of Stoneham and was predeceased by sisters Olga Fee and Edith Elder and by brothers Joseph and Charles Macaluso. Annette was proud of her Italian heritage and was an amazing cook. Her family will miss her delicious homemade sauce and lasagna, and there will never be an apple pie better than hers. She was a waitress in her younger years working at Malena’s and Thecla’s restaurants in Randolph and at Nanina’s in Weymouth. She had fond memories of her trip to Sicily with her sisters when they were all in their 70’s, their trip of a lifetime. The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at Good Samaritan Medical Center on 2B for the compassionate care they gave to Annette during her illness and a very special thank you to the wonderful staff of Heights Crossing Assisted Living Facility for their kindness, friendship, and meticulous care they gave to both Dick and Annette during their time there. Now reunited with Dick, whom she missed greatly over the last 8 months since his passing, they will live forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Jude’s. A memorial celebration for both Annette and Dick’s lives will be held at a future date. Funeral services will be private. Annette will be interred with her husband at the National Cemetery in Bourne. Arrangements by the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman Street, Canton.
