Alfred St. Clair Obituary

September 23, 1938-October 14, 2025

Alfred Harry St.Clair, 87, died peacefully at home October 14,2025 in Bellevue, WA where he spent his final years. Prior to that he resided most of his life in Massachusetts and Maine where he was raised and enjoyed much time by the ocean. Al began his education at a one room schoolhouse in Owl's Head, Maine and later graduated from Rockland District High School after which he enrolled in the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. For many years he was active in the Civil Air Patrol where he was a bagpiper in their marching band and enjoyed participating in parades. During his retirement he took up wood carving and created some beautiful treasures for those he loved.

Al was outgoing and made friends everywhere he went. He could easily spark up a conversation with anyone he met. He was always up for an adventure and loved to travel. He went on many cruises and trips abroad but most of all he enjoyed driving and took countless road trips. He and his late wife, Beverly, spent nearly a decade joyfully exploring the country in an RV after they both retired from long careers at Northrop Grumman Corporation. With a recent cruise to Alaska, Al had proudly visited every US state.

He left behind many friends and loved ones including, son, Charles St.Clair, his partner, Marie Russo, and his children, Kristen and Jonathan; son, Robert St.Clair; son, Stephen St.Clair, his wife, Yu Zeng, and his children, Sarah and Alisha; daughter, Michelle Tankersley, her husband, Brian Tankersley, and her children, Kyler and Trey; step-daughter, Deborah Kourieh, and her children, Nylah and Joseph; step-daughter, Bonnie Anderson, and her children, Henrik, Carl Oscar, and Magdalena; step-daughter, Stacey Taylor, her husband, Benjamin Taylor, and her children Gregory, Owen, and Helena; nieces, Penny Jean Young and Liza Lee Zonghi; cousin, Lorraine Landers; as well as several great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Rose St.Clair; his aunts, Agnes Youngblood and Bertha Landers; his sister, Roberta Wilson; his son, Mark St.Clair; his step-sons, Norman and Merrill Devoe; his step-daughter, Denise Devoe; his grandson, Robert St.Clair; and his beloved wife, Beverly St.Clair.

Al's big personality, boisterous laughter, generous heart, and warm smile will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Although his passing was sudden and he will be deeply missed, it is of great comfort to know he is at long last reunited with his beautiful bride, Beverly, and they are surely sharing a loving embrace and dancing their way through the heavens.
