Bertha J. Abbott

Bertha J. Abbott (Waters) of Milton, formerly of Canton and Hyde Park died April 28, 2011 after a long illness. She was 80. Bertha was a retired Registered Nurse. Devoted wife of the late Gerard J. Abbott. Loving mother of Christine M. Meloski and her husband Richard of Quincy, Michael G. Abbott and his wife Ann Fonte-Abbott of Hyde Park, Kevin W. Abbott and his wife Janet of Bellingham, and Susan N. Coleman and her partner Alexander Will of Milton. Loving grandmother of Richard Meloski, Gregory Coleman, Kevin Abbott, Rachel Abbott, Kyle Abbott, and Kendra Abbott. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton, Sunday from 2-6 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 2, 2011 at 10:00 AM in St. Gerard Majella Church Washington St., Canton. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers Donations may be made in her memory to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, H.D.S.A. of New England 6 Boston Road, Suite 203 A, Chelmsford, MA 01824.
